3. How long do the results of RT-PCR das Antigen come out?

You should receive your RT-PCR test results as early as 24 hours after sample collection, Antigen 15-20 Minutes

4. How valid is the RT-PCR / Antigen test?

The RT-PCR test is valid for 48-72h depending on where you are traveling.
Antigen 24-48h depending on where you travel.

5. How is the sample obtained for RT-PCR?

The sample is taken through the nose but if you have any complications in the nose it can also be done through the throat. The test is done by employees who are trained and supervised by the PcrGreece. They understand that taking the test can be a bit intimidating for you and they will do everything they can to make it as comfortable as possible.

6. Is your lab licensed and is the travel test valid?

The laboratory is licensed and the test is valid for travel.

7. What documentation do I need to bring with me for the test?

You must bring your booking email with you when you come for your test, to gain access to the testing centre.
Please also bring your valid Passport, National ID or Travel Document.

10. WHAT TYPES OF TEST ARE AVAILABLE?

There are essentially two broad categories of testing:
1. Antigen test (frequently referred to as a rapid test). This test detects protein fragments specific to the Coronavirus. It can be done in a clinic, doctor’s office, or hospital. Turnaround time for results is usually very quick and in some cases, results can be reported within 15 minutes.

2. PCR test. PCR testing is considered the “gold standard” in SARS-CoV-2 detection. This test actually detects RNA (or genetic material) that is specific to the virus and can detect the virus within days of infection, even those who have no symptoms. The test can be done in a clinic, lab or hospital. Turnaround time is longer, results can be in available as per our service within 4 hours. When demand is high, results can take a bit longer.
